Here is what the writers had to say after my recent 2 day – The Writers’ Room Intensive workshop
“Katie’s workshop was inspiring, informative and, above all, useful. The writers’ room approach made my current writing project better and richer in a way that no other notes have done before. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to improve a writing project, learn more about writers’ rooms and take the next step in their TV writing career”.
“This workshop was invaluable in helping me turn a corner with my spec, I didn’t know where to turn next but the feedback and theory gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to elevate the storytelling and stakes of my story”.
“I had no idea how to develop my idea for a sitcom. After attending Katie’s session, my idea evolved a lot into something more concrete, substantial and engaging. Definitely recommend if you love working in collaboration with other writers”
Invitation: 2-Day TV Writers’ Room Intensive Workshop
I’m hosting a 2-day The Writers’ Room Intensive in London for TV writers who want to push their projects forward and gain practical insight into the industry.
I’m inspired by writers and have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the UK’s most established and award-winning talent, as well as with major broadcasters and platforms including BBC, ITV, Netflix, Sky and HBO.
Over the years, one thing kept jumping out at me: so many brilliant writers don’t always have the tools to storyline. Not just plot — but the deeper craft of structure, escalation, and emotional payoff. That gap lit a fire in me. I became passionate about helping writers not only bring their vision to life, but push it further — to sharpen the arc, raise the stakes, and make the story sing. Because the idea is only the beginning — it’s how you build it that makes it undeniable.
Over two days, I’ll be working closely with 6 writers (writing duos are welcome too), giving each project the space and attention it deserves while fostering a collaborative, writers’ room style atmosphere.
Workshop Outline
10th & 11th November 2025 -Piccadilly Circus 48 Warwick Street, London, W1B 5AW
Day One – Hands on Script Development
Each writer/duo will have focused development time on their script or idea. This won’t just be feedback, this is hands-on development and can be focused on what you need.
Whether we need to dig into your story, characters, and world — this will be tailored to sharpen your idea and take it to the next stage.
Day Two – Next Steps & Industry Insight
Each writer/duo will get a Q&A session to ask me specific questions about your script, the industry, or next steps.
There will be a story workshop & a guest writer speaker session, where an industry professional will share insights from their recent TV experiences.
